Gore is making the donation to name the Entertainment Community Fund building for the EGOT winner — the culture center is part of a $135 million development that also includes affordable housing for artists and a young filmmakers program.
The Fund has received a generous $5 million donation from the 20-time Tony-winning and Emmy-nominated British entertainment producer, John Gore, via The John Gore Foundation for the arts complex of The Hollywood Arts Collective named after Rita Moreno.
Bids for the TUSC-MPTF effort will help get writers enrolled in healthcare and pay their premiums, while the WGARAGE Sale will see winnings go to support below-the-line talent affected by the strike through the Entertainment Community Fund.
