New York, NY (April 8, 2020) – Spectrum News NY1 announced “On Stage at Home”, a two-night event featuring the best of Broadway, to raise funds and awareness for The Actors Fund, the national human services organization for everyone in performing arts and entertainment.
The two-part special will be hosted by On Stage’s Frank DiLella, and will feature the best of Broadway and beyond including Annaleigh Ashford, Sierra Boggess, Jason Robert Brown, Betty Buckley, Tituss Burgess, Kristin Chenoweth, Jenn Colella, Gavin Creel, Alan Cumming, Ariana DeBose, Fran Drescher, Colin Donnell, David Foster, Cheyenne Jackson, Nikki M. “On Stage at Home” stars Broadway’s best explaining how they’re coping with being shut inside, showing off their children, their pets, what they’re cooking, their hobbies, performing songs and offering words of hope and inspiration. Many also call for donations to The Actors Fund to support the arts community during this challenging time.
“On Stage a Home” Part 1 will air this Saturday, April 11, at 7:30 and 10:30 pm. Part 2 airs Sunday, April 12, at 7:30 and 10:30 pm on Spectrum News NY1.
“On Stage at Home” will also be made available at www.ny1.com, as well as airing in real time on NY1’s Facebook and Twitter channels.
The Actors Fund is a national human services organization that fosters stability and resiliency and provides a safety net for performing arts and entertainment professionals over their lifespan. Through offices in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, The Fund serves everyone in film, theater, television, music, opera, radio and dance with programs including social services and emergency financial assistance, health care and insurance counseling, housing, and secondary employment and training services.
