Friedman Health Center Receives Tony Honors for Excellence in Theatre

We are thrilled to share that The Samuel J. Friedman Health Center for the Performing Arts, run in partnership between the Fund and Mt. Sinai Doctors, is the recipient of a 2024 Tony Honors for Excellence in Theatre! The Friedman Health Center, created in 2017, is the only health center in New York City dedicated to the primary and specialty care needs of the theater and performing arts community. Congratulations to Dr. Jason Kindt, Co-Medical Director of The Health Center and doctor of Family Medicine; podiatrist Dr. Louis Galli; Co-medical director Dr. Leila Hagshenas; Internal and Sports medicine specialist Dr. Joey Fernandez; Gynecologist Dr. Paula Brignoni-Blume; Dr. Charmaine Young; and nurse practitioner Patrick Parsell. Billy Porter to Receive Honorary Tony Award

Congratulations to Fund Board member Billy Porter, who will receive the 2024 Isabelle Stevenson Tony Award for his philanthropic work with the Fund, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation and more. Named for the late, longtime leader and chairman of the board of the American Theatre Wing, the Isabelle Stevenson Tony Award is given annually to a member of the theater community who has made a substantial contribution of volunteered time and effort on behalf of one or more humanitarian, social service, or charitable organizations.
