What does “Special Performance” mean? What is a “house seat?” An explanation of these special benefits.
Special Performances and Producer’s Picks
Once a year, Broadway shows add an extra performance to their regular schedule as a benefit for The Actors Fund (i.e. a “Special Performance”), or they may designate a block of tickets called “Producer’s Picks” to an already scheduled performance. The proceeds from these evenings go to support our programs and services. Depending on membership level, members have access to free ticket(s) to one or more of these exciting performances. Additional tickets are available at cost. These Special Performances and Producer’s Picks nights are generally held in New York City and Los Angeles. Complimentary Special Performance and Producer’s Picks membership tickets are available for select performances. If you choose to waive your free membership tickets, your membership donation will be completely tax-deductible.
Actors Fund House Seats
Actors Fund House seats are select tickets set aside by Broadway theatre management exclusively for Actors Fund members. We provide concierge service to access and purchase these tickets at regular box office prices as a special service for our members. House seats are available to nearly every show on Broadway and select theaters in Los Angeles throughout the year.
This service is offered to $100 Friend level members and above (please refer to the member benefits for details). Please note that a maximum of four (4) house seats are available per performance and members must provide at least four days advance notice. Each ticket is priced at face value plus a $25 tax-deductible contribution. For some select shows, tickets may be charged at premium prices. The Actors Fund House Seat Program does not include tickets for Off-Broadway, Roundabout Theatre Company, Manhattan Theatre Club or Lincoln Center Theatre shows. Tickets are subject to availability.
