NYLaughs.org has partnered with The Actors Fund to produce a streaming fundraising event for comedians, comedy writers, late night show crews, talent bookers, comedy club owners and any other comedy entertainment professionals who are struggling financially due to the COVID-19 outbreak with a goal of raising at least $150K. The 2-hour event will stream at nylaughs.org/LOCKDOWN and will be accessible thereafter on YouTube at youtube.com/nylaughs.
The online event will feature appearances and performances by comedians Wanda Sykes, Judd Apatow, Ray Romano, Dave Attell, Ronny Chieng, Roy Wood Jr. Pete Holmes, Jim Norton, Jeff Ross and many more. The event is hosted by Mo Amer. A drive for donations to The Actors Fund’s relief initiative, Laughter in Lockdown has set a minimum goal of raising $150K that will prioritize those working specifically in the field of comedy.
