Starring Sadie Sink (Stranger Things) and directed by Tony Award winner Danya Taymor (The Outsiders), John Proctor is the Villain is a bitingly funny and urgent new play that captures a generation in mid-transformation, running on pop music, optimism and fury—and discovering that their future is not bound by the past.
At a small-town high school in rural Georgia, an English class is studying The Crucible; but the students are more preoccupied with navigating young love, sex ed and school scandals. As they delve into Arthur Miller’s classic and experience upheaval in their own lives, a group of young women begin to question the play’s perspective on its supposed hero, John Proctor.
