Online tool that pulls information from the National Shelter System and allows people to view a Google map of open Red Cross shelter locations and search for shelters closest to their location. Shelters that are currently open will be displayed on the map or in the search results.

If you are eligible for Transitional Sheltering Assistance, FEMA will pay for the cost to stay in certain hotels or motels for a limited period of time. Costs covered are for the cost of the room and taxes, and any other expenses are not included. This website provides a list of participating locations, searchable by state. Since room availability changes quickly, phone numbers are provided to call hotels prior to travelling to be sure the hotel can accommodate your need.
Helps individuals and families who have been displaced by a disaster find a place to live. The website consolidates rental resources identified and provided by federal agencies, private organizations, and the public, to help individuals and families find available rental units in their area.
Advertising Industry
Ad Relief of Greater Los Angeles provides financial aid for members of the Southern California advertising, promotions and communications community in crisis. Applicants must have at least one full year of employment in the field, and asset limitations apply.
Dance
The Parachute Fund provides grants to members of the San Francisco Bay Area dance community facing HIV/AIDS or other life-threatening illnesses.
Financial assistance is available to dancers and choreographers who meet eligibility criteria. Administered by The Actors Fund.
Disaster-related assistance
Provides low-interest disaster loans to homeowners, renters, businesses of all sizes, and most private nonprofit organizations. SBA disaster loans can be used to repair or replace the following items damaged or destroyed in a declared disaster: real estate, personal property, machinery and equipment, and inventory and business assets.
Entertainment and Performing Arts Union and Guild Assistance Funds
Provides a modest grant to temporarily or permanently disabled musicians who are members of the American Federation of Musicians.
Members in good standing may be eligible for emergency financial assistance. Grants are administered by The Actors Fund from the New York, Chicago and Los Angeles offices.
Members who have completed initiation and paid dues for one year can apply for emergency aid for basic needs or medical expenses.
Provides confidential loans to members who are facing short term financial hardship.
The Local 47 Musicians' Relief Fund is an emergency assistance fund that helps cover expenses when a member musician is in financial distress and cannot work due to a sudden illness or injury.
Provides emergency financial assistance for the aid, relief and care of SAG-AFTRA members west of the Mississippi in times of need.
Provides emergency financial assistance to SAG-AFTRA members east of the Mississippi struggling with a financial, personal or medical crisis. Assistance is administered by The Actors Fund and can be used for rent, utilities, mental health, medical care and other basic living expenses.
