Educational Scholarships

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation

A scholarship program to help cultivate the next generation of great artists and writers with the establishment of the Jack Kent Cooke Graduate Arts Award. Recognizes and rewards the most promising up-and-coming artists and writers from lower-income backgrounds.

Individual Artists and Small Arts Organizations

Artist Conference Network

A unique coaching community for people doing creative work. The Network is comprised of small groups throughout the U.S. Members are trained to coach and be coached.

Association for Performing Arts Presenters

A national service, advocacy and membership organization for presenters of the performing arts.

California Arts Council

Contains a source of information linking artists and arts organizations to a variety of arts funding sources from governments, foundations and private sources.

Creative Capital

Provides support to artists who pursue innovation in form and/or content in the performing and visual arts, film and video and in emerging fields.

Foundation Center

Contains a comprehensive list of funding available to individual artists and artists' organizations.

Kickstarter

Online crowdfunding tool for funding creative projects.

Leeway Foundation

Leeway Foundation supports individual women artists, arts programs, and arts organizations, with a focus on the Greater Philadelphia region, in order to help them achieve personal and community transformation.

New York Foundation for the Arts

One of the largest grant makers to individual artists.

NYFA Source

Provides a comprehensive database of awards, services, and publications for artists in all disciplines.

Pennsylvania Council on the Arts

Pennsylvania Council on the Arts offers links to services for Pennsylvania artists.

Pollock-Krasner Foundation

Provides financial grants for recognizable artistic merit and demonstrable financial need, whether professional, personal or both.

Puffin Foundation

Provides grants to emerging artists in the fields of art, photography, music, theater, dance and literature whose works due to their genre and/or social philosophy might have difficulty being aired.

William Penn Foundation

The William Penn Foundation provides funding to artists within the Philadelphia region
