2021 Natural Disasters

To help performing arts and entertainment professionals impacted by recent natural disasters, The Actors Fund can provide emergency financial assistance. Please use the application link at the bottom of the page.

Eligibility:

The Actors Fund helps everyone who works in performing arts and entertainment including theater, film, television, music and dance. Those who work on stage, on camera or behind the scenes are encouraged to apply.

To be eligible for The Actors Fund, you must have entertainment industry earnings over $6,500 for three out of the last five years. Income from teaching does not qualify. Dancers, musicians and comedians must document three years of recent earnings of at least $2,000 a year.

If you are a SAG-AFTRA member, you may be eligible for assistance through the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, administered by The Actors Fund. If you are a member, please provide your union membership number.

Required documentation:

  • Most recent checking and savings bank statement, including name, address and balance totals.
  • Proof that you reside in an area impacted by the disaster such as household bill with your name and address.
  • Entertainment industry earnings over $6,500 for three out of the last five years (2015-2020) accepted forms of earnings documentation include: union pension and health statements, W-2 or 1099 forms. Do not include tax returns without W-2’s.
